I went to a Northern Soul club with Anne, Mark and Seth. It was fun but later in the night some kind of skeezy people showed up and one of them kicked me really hard in the shins and I got a really bad bruise.

My friend Anne manages an Oxfam bookshop in Dublin and she had the idea to have bands play there on Saturday afternoons. I made it to one where a friend of ours Karl Stanley was playing with two musicial pals of his. They were really awesome. The girl singer (whose name I am trying to find out) was just fantastic doing all scat-like stuff in this really pretty voice – gorgeous.
