“Worse is Better” by Richard Gabriel – a sort of confusing treatise on the differences between the “worse is better” approach to writing code and the Stanford MIT model. Basically trying to get everything right first time is not as good as just getting something to work and then expanding it from there.

This week Conor Creaney and Steve Fletcher came into the studio and spoke to me about being on the picket line of the NYU strike. John Fishback got some great sound of the storming of Bobst Library by undergraduates determined to deliver a letter to John Sexton.

So Season 3 was only two weeks long – not really time to have a third week when this Tuesday is the last class.
Candid Bums did surprisingly well – 5% at least for each time slot I believe.
Paul Simms, the writer and executive producer of News Radio (a show I’d never heard of, but which Sean tells me was hilarious)
came to class. He was a great, great speaker – funny, smart, great insights. And pretty damn cute too. I will watch any other shows he writes.
